David McDonald is a dedicated family man, seasoned public servant, and proud Leander resident running in the Republican primary for Williamson County Commissioner Precinct 2 to ensure a safer, stronger, and more connected community.

David has been married to his wife, Kate, for 22 years, and together they have raised five children in the tight-knit community of Leander. They cherish Williamson County for its family-oriented values, small-town spirit, and commitment to looking out for one another, making it the ideal place to call home.

David proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine in Desert Storm and brings 31 years of public service, including 25 years as a Sergeant with the Austin Police Department and 6 years as TxDOT’s Statewide Traffic Incident Management Coordinator. Since 2022, David has served as a Leander City Council member, driving accountable and open governance for the community.

David is running for Williamson County Commissioner Precinct 2 to deliver strong conservative leadership, prioritize public safety, and promote balanced growth for every resident.
