Leander City Councilmember Stephen Chang Endorses McDonald for Williamson County Commissioner Precinct 2
David McDonald today announced that Stephen Chang Leander City Councilmember for Place 1, has endorsed him:
"Williamson County is the third fastest growing county in Texas, and much of that growth is occurring in Precinct 2, which covers Cedar Park, Leander, and Liberty Hill. As we continue to grow, so too will our transportation, critical infrastructure, and public safety needs, among many others.
"Our next County Commissioner must have the experience to lead, as well as a proven track record of working collaboratively with local, county, and state officials to deliver for residents in not only day to day operations but also in times of emergency.
"Time and time again, David McDonald has proven that he doesn't just talk about service-he shows up. As a Marine veteran, retired officer of the Austin Police Department, and current Leander City Councilman, David has nearly three decades of experience serving others, managing operations, and navigating complex situations. I have no doubt that he is the right person for the job, and Williamson County will benefit greatly through his leadership with him as our next Commissioner for Precinct 2.
"I wholeheartedly endorse David and encourage you to join me in supporting him in the upcoming Republican Primary on Tuesday, March 3, 2026."
